| No, it is the voltage that is cutting you off. Most guys set it at 4 volts which basically disables it. Your batteries will let you know when it is time to land....the heli won't hover well.
I set the voltage to 4 volts, soft cutout, brake disabled, fast start, and current limiting set to insensitive or disabled--whichever is worse for the ESC. I'd rather smoke an ESC or a battery than crash the heli......
Not sure what pinion to use but a smaller pinion might be a good idea. There are tons of postings here for this motor. You could also recheck and maybe reduce your pitch curve a bit. If at +/-10 degrees, try 9 degrees. The only way to increase headspeed is increase throttle or decrease pitch-- or a bit of both. |
