Gyromangler Heliman Location:
| Hi, I'm back in the A/G business again with my third Whopper NIB, after a number years away from them. My first one, 1994,flew great for 2 flights till it crashed due to Tx failure and I sold it. The last one I sold before flying it and regretted the sale. I am reading mixed feeling about these Whoppers and hope we can all share the ins and outs of this model. I have built and flown a Whistler, 1996, Later I bought a never flown DC Gyro, 1999, I flew it several times till the rotor head parted ways and that totaled it. Then I converted a Lazy Bee to A/G and never got it to fly. My learning curve is tilted upward sleightly with these machines and I enjoy the challenge. If I may add some help to the tipping on landing of the Whopper, I re-did the LG, making it 2 inches wider per side, does wonders. I'm interested in a source for the Hi Lift longer blades I've been reading about. I live at 3110 asl here in Carlsbad, NM. and the air is somewhat thin when summer heat is the season. Hope to hear from fellow Whoppers. |
