e-Align T-REX 450-500-600 > Where is this blade flutter coming from?

I have torn the head down and built it back up and for a while it was ok but again today while flying around in 15 mph winds occasionaly one blade begins to flutter. Its a horrible site. I loose alltitude rather sharply and stability. luckily it happens for just a moment at a time. It over as quick as it starts thankfully. What is this from? My Rex is flying great but this is probably my only concern now. It must be from loose screws in the head. I have tightened them up and it helps but its only temporary. Is anyone else noticing this phenomenon?

I had the same problem, so I switched back to the stock wood blades. I think it's becasue the blades are too long and so not stiff enough.

Slight crack in one of the blades, Warn Bearings, Lose ball end for pitch.
I would go over the blade grips and also check the bearings and all the ball links really well. Also could be a warn blade grip. Check to make sure the nuts are not warn out on the blade screws they mite be losing up on you.

Another big thing is people dont really look well at is oiling there bearing after 20 or more flights.

i crashed today bending my feathering shaft badly. when i tried to bend it back (not to fly again, just pity for my poor heli) i noticed it (the shaft) would rotate and point back to the direction of the bend.

so i wondered if yours is slightly bent, that maybe forces could rotate the shaft (and result in changing the pitch of one of the blades)? i know if these shafts have small bends, it'd be hard to tell with the massive blade grips and main rotor housing surrounding it.

anyways.. just a thought...

No this problem has been here through several feathering shafts. I am getting better at crashing and replacing parts. I can tell you for sure its not the feathering shaft. Its just only blade thats doing it from analyzing things over. ITs a loose screw on the upper arm assembly. Forget what thats called at the moment. I tightened up the screw and it helps but it just doesnt stay within the tolerances needed to keep the slop off the blade. I think I should just replace the head or just the part things screw into. I never overtightened anything and the screws are all snug but not overtightened. We need a few CNC parts in the head I think. Maybe instead they can just make some harder plastic parts. That would be cheaper.
