Hello to all....Lets start by saying there are others out there trying to sell copys of the gohbee line of helis....and all though the Stinger series is some what a copy of the Raptor series it has some improvements...From the swash up the head is proving to work very well..I have been flying this heli for about 4 months and putting it through its paces ...One good thing is the Gohbee line is distributed by David Ellison....David owns a major machine shop and makes changes as we need them and relays the upgrade to the manufactures..and this system is working well...There where some issues with the .30 but the .50 is proving to be of good quality...I fly alot With Henery Caldwell and He really likes the way it flies..also Matt Botos has had his hands on it and was really impressed with it also...and for the price its a great deal....we are working on upgrades right now..Like a 4mm flybar conversion....Clipped blade spindle.... and a full metal head kit...all of these are being tested now....and working well....although alot of negetive things have been said about this heli...for now all who fly my machine are really impressed...so dont knock it untill you try it....any questions please feel free to ask me..Thanks to all... My 2¢:
I have installed the Stinger head conversion kit on my Raptor 50. I am quite happy with what I consider a performance upgrade for not a lot of $. The heli is more stable in hover, and has no tendency to pitch up or down in high speed flight. Response with the stock Stinger paddles is much better than stock Raptor paddles. The machine will chaos with the Stinger paddles, and I had no luck doing this with stock Raptor paddles. I also think there is less blade noise during maneuvers, and it seems to carry power through rolls a bit easier than before. Another thing I like is the taller main rotor position. I can run 95mm tailblades with no worries of clipping with the mains, and the extra .5" might help prevent a boomstrike someday.
