i p/u these blades from my LHS pkg'd w/Flying Hobby wrapper (http://www.flying-hobby.com) labeled w/part # T0500-036. same dimensions as the align plastic blades.

they're very light (hope to get a gram scale soon) compared to the stock plastics so and i think they were intended for a zoom. the material appears to be very fine/thin fiberglass.

at any rate, i put'em on and flew them today. the climb rate was noticeably faster but the stability was very poor. i was able to fly around a bit (attempted 2 figure8s) but i would more call it a "limp" if it were walking is how unstable it was (or looked).

i figured the disk loading was a bit lower with the light blades causing the instablility and tried to increase my HS but it didn't help too much. it still felt fairly unstable. keep in mind the conditions were 5mph breeze that the plastic blades wouldn't even notice.

anyways, i saw the post from DrHonda on using zoom blades and still want to give this a try. anyone have some good recommendations on blades that would make this bird climb fast yet?.. and still have stable flight characteristics? i'm sure we're R&D for align at this point, but if you found a good set let me know!

try to be specific, i'm an idiot...

ps: the specs - park400/align25A-ESC/Berg5/Align servos/TP2100/gy240
