| i applaud you guys for stepping up and mentioning good/ok experiences. this thread sounds so vengeful that there doesn't seem to be any use in mentioning anything as all minds seemed to be set. i sent Nikki a pm to keep her spirits up from as many negative comments as she handles.
you guys should know that all their employees are like her. nice, diplomatic and helpful. i think their biggest challenge is keeping up with all the orders, service, etc nationwide and not goofing. as they've mentioned in the past, "growing pains".
sure their parts are not A+ quality. then just don't buy them. go on discussion groups to find out what parts are good or not just like you do with all other, non-helihobby equipment. i've mentioned this to the owner and who knows, maybe he'll change his machinist but at least he's aware. as someone mentioned in another thread, "don't buy them and move on with life".. i've bought quite a few parts as a newbie not knowing any better - i knew i was experimenting - i knew it was a gamble - i knew it was my fault.
sorry, but they really are good people, you should meet them. they're heli-geeks like us... all into the hobby/sport, go flying on wknds (some fly daily), tire from work daily, and some doing overtime (Nikki). and they do work. i hate to see them flamed like this because i do see them try. get off the helihobby flame-wagon and give'em a break.
another thing.. think about what they really do bring to the hobby.. think of how many people they've brought into the sport. all the interest.. and that chain reaction.. to other stores, competition, manufacturers making more parts, websites offering more documentation... |
