| I use both kinds depending on the need. The semis are great for scalers as they produce better lift and the flight is smoother, but there is a drawback, inverted suffers big time. Simply put if you want to learn to do 3D manouvers use only sym. mains but, if you just wanna tool around in FF and maybe loop and roll and auto then semi mains will perform better especially if its a good set with washout and curved tips. I tried both kinds on my Airwolf and the semis were far better able to handle the weight and it flew much smoother without being pitchy. My 3D helis all use fully sym. I tried inverted on my 60 and my 30 with semis and the performance sucked basicly when inverted. After I replaced them with the syms everything is back to usual. |
