Howdy Heli fans! The Stinger 50 is ready to Rock! We've got everything ready to go and we've got her go at an incredible price! Check out the following link:

www.gohbee.com

You can purchase the Stinger 50 in several flavors. For starters, we're offering a Canopy option. We have a plastic canopy with a see through windshield as an additional option to our fiberglass canopy. (Check out the price on the plastic canopy!) Also, we're currently offering the Stinger 50 with or without MAH 600mm carbon fiber blades. I don't have a lot of pictures up on the website yet, but these will be forth coming. Also, I will be posting a list of improvements that we've made to both the Stinger 50 & 30 based on a lot of your comments.

Please notice that we've added some great new accessories! Even better is that we've cut our prices on just about everything. In keeping with our goal to bring the cost of helis down, we're now purchasing in larger quantities and are able to pass the savings on to you -- the customer.

Stay tuned for more details!

After reading this http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t128170p1/

I became quite sceptical. Have these issues been addressed?

$9.99 for canopy and decals!

Nice David!

I had some concerns with the 30 that David quickly took care of.
The 50 hasn't had any problems that I haven't induced.

Sorry but these adverts disguised as posts, are beginning to get to me,
its nothing that I can change, just had to say it, im not jumping on that rr-bashing thing, this is the best heli-forum I know of, but opening a post only to find its a blatant advert is sorta crass, and I am actually discouraged from dealing with a company that does this.
This is not the first so dont take it as a dig just against this example but just my opinion on this practice overall

I believe RR policy allows a small number of posts by paying advertisers in which they may advertise their products. The number is really small (something like 2 per month) so we won't be overloaded with them. I think there is nothing wrong with this as long as it is obvious where the post comes from.

Where is the harm?

What we’re up to lately:

As you know. We introduced the Stinger 30 back in July of ’04. And now we’ve just introduced the Stinger 50. We are busy adding more and more products each day. Soon we’ll have our crash kits and a .30 to .50 Conversion kit available on the website. We’re going to offer a .30 Size Basic Crash Kit for $29.99 and a .30 Size Deluxe Crash for $49.99. Our .30 to .50 Conversion kit will retail at $69.99 which will also work on a Raptor.

Recent Improvements:

Since we introduced the Stinger 30 we’ve made a lot of improvements to our helis. As with anything that’s new there are kinks to work out. We have been very diligent in chasing these down and proactive in solving them. Here’s a list of things that we’ve done:

1) Starter Coupling – We no longer use the starter coupling with the one way bearing and have changed over to a 6mm Hex starter coupling. This will allow you to use the same starter wand that’s used on other machines. You will need to use a starter wand with a one way bearing in it. Check out our part numbers 60006G (gold), 60006P (purple), & 60006S (silver).

2) Main Gear – We have improved the material that we’re making our main gears from. The material is a lot stronger and more resilient.

3) Flap Dampers – We’ve changed the size of our flap dampers to improve performance primarily for the 50 size machine. This was never a problem on the 30 however since we are standardizing on the new damper we are including a new hub and set of dampers in every 30 kit as spares. The 30 ARF will still have the old hub and dampers assembled in the head. You can fly the 30 machine until you wear out the old dampers and then change over to the new dampers included in the kit. Again, the old dampers are fine for the 30 size machine. The Stinger 50 comes with the new dampers already installed.

4) Rotor Grips – We’ve improved the bearing fit on our rotor grips. If you purchased a kit prior to December 19, 2004 and would like to get a set of new rotor grips then send us an email with the following information: Name, Address & The place where you purchased your kit. Send your email to customer-service@gohbee.com and we will send you a new set of grips!

5) Clutch – Every clutch is now 100% inspected for concentricity before shipping.

6) Main Shaft (.50 Size) – We’ve increased the size of the bolt that secures the main rotor hub to the main shaft from 3mm to 4mm. This change was not necessary for the 30 Size helis, but became evident as a requirement for the 50 during our testing. This change has already been made on all Stinger 50’s and will eventually be made on the 30’s as well. We have a new part number (20119) for our main shaft with the 4mm hole. For customers currently flying the 30, you have several options to make the changeover. The first option is to continue to use the main shaft with the 3mm hole (PN: 20100). We still have stock on these and will continue to sell them until we run out. Another option is change over to the new main shaft when you purchase your next crash kit. The basic version of the crash kit includes the new main shaft. You will have to drill out the cross hole on your hub to accept the 4mm bolt. If you do not feel comfortable doing this then you can purchase the deluxe crash kit which includes a main rotor hub with the 4mm cross hole. Please keep in mind that since this change the new main shafts (PN 20119) are no longer compatible with the Raptor. However, Raptor owners can continue to purchase our old main shaft (PN 20100) at a great price while supplies last.

7) Fuel Tank – We’ve improved our fuel tank and clunk system.

We really appreciate everyone’s input and suggestions. We are working hard to provide you with top quality products at a very affordable price.

Speaking of price...I want to remind everyone that you can save money on our kits that are ordered off our website by using a field rep code at check out. We are building our field rep program to help support our customers in the field. Each Gohbee field rep is assigned a unique code. As a customer you can save 7% off the retail price on ANY product EVERYTIME you place an order with us by putting the code of your favorite field rep each time at checkout. For example, our Stinger 30 w/ Plastic canopy retails for $219.99. By using a field rep code this brings your cost to $204.59!!! Again, this also applies to ANY replacement part, crash kit, tool, even if it’s already on sale! ……Everything! If you currently don’t know one of our field reps you can use my code: GBWFTF (has to be all caps). However, if later on you get to know a field rep, I would rather you use their code. Please help me get the word out about this way of saving money.

I hope everyone has a Happy and safe New Year!

Thanks,
David

Please note that I've corrected the part number for the new main shaft in my above post to 20119. I inadvertantly had the wrong part number!

Thanks,
