A couple of months ago I was actually considering buying a Gohbee heli ... I started a thread to find out if it's proving out to be a good heli.
The thread was not bashing Gohbee but the "Owner of Gohbee" interfered and had the topic closed !!
Is Gohbee that scared of consumer reports from RR members ??
No way am I buying that heli now or ever !!
This thread will be short lived I am sure ...but I do fear that Gohbee has something to hide or the owner would never have used his advertiser powers to get the legit thread closed.

I know that you are not that naive.

Gohbee didn't close that thread.
MR closed that thread.

Gohbee AKA David Ellison is hiding from nothing. You can email him or call him. He is very accessible.
He is very excited about his product and that is why he jumped in to address comments.

He didn't interfere. He didn't want the thread closed.
He tried to address Al's loaded comment about head price and Stinger performance compared to a Fury.

Being new to RR, I am sure that David didn't know he was breaking the rules. I would also be willing to bet that he got "the PM" from MR.

Gohbee is now a paying advertiser on RR so I cant say if this thread will be closed or not. I cant keep up with RR's evergreen newly imposed rules on what can be posted and what cant. Who can comment and who cant.

If it does get closed, it wont be because Gohbee closed it.

Disclaimer: I am not a rep or paid by Gohbee. I have been given two Stingers for review. Yes, I have actually touched and flown them. One is in the process of being given away and the other will be.

I can see that you have some interest in the Gohbee product...however Mark did say that the owner got the thread closed...perhaps because of his disregard for the RR advertising rules as Mark did also note that it was not the first time that the owner had broken the rules of RR policy and WAS aware of that fact.
I find some of your posts quite confusing ...I was interested in learning about the Gohbee ...you stated you owned one...then recently you noted you were returning it to be given up for charity
I would love to see credible reports on this heli become public from someone other than a sales represenative...is that even posible ?

I don't care to banter wether the Gohbee owner ticked off the RR site owner...it really doesn't matter much to me...
Why is Gohbee information so scarce ?? Are there any private owners with coments or experiences on the heli ?
Now that Gohbee is conforming with RR advertising policies (like others) it should be easy to discuss the pros and cons about this brand....should it not ??

I have an interest in all heli products.
I have had to change the way I post. I have had a few RR members question my motives or imply that if I didn't pay for it, I cant comment on it accurately so instead of waiting for someone to imply that I am biased, I am now more careful when I post and lay the facts out as I have done in this thread.

Both Stingers were given to me for a review. I suppose I temporarily own it. I didn't pay for it. I have no financial interest in Gohbee. I will not be keeping either machine. It was always understood by me, Gohbee and HF that it would be given away when I was done with it.
In fact I also gave away the OS37 engine that I received for the Stinger 30. I also gave away the MP. The last two were not part of the deal but something I elected to do. Now someone do their best to try and turn that in to something negative.

I am in no way a sales rep for Gohbee. Nothing changes for me if he sells 1 or 1000. For you to imply that anything I have said as not being credible is an insult and I will treat it as such.
I would think that you would rather hear from someone that actually touched it and flew it versus someone that has never been in the same room as one.

I Have/Had a stinger 30.

I imported one to South Africa to test independantly.

I crashed on the first flight due to a battery plug comming loose.

I then re-built a raptor V2 with the Gohbee Head and pitch arm.

Still flying it today with my OS 46 and 8.5 gear ratio.

Stock 30 tail boom.

It flys fine.

The part fit is a bit irregular, but this is one of the first kits.

I had to turn down (shortern) 2 collars.

and the Raptor Spindle is slightly short.

I have had the grey dust around the pitch arm bearings, but cannot say that it effects the perfomance.

Feel free to ask me questions on my setup.

I have not done heavy 3D, only mild aerobatic stuff.

I did not imply anything for you to become insulted about...however feel free to be insulted if you like that approach.
How you can sit there and defend yourself from something that I did not accuse you of is beyond me
I am not about to argue with you about your involvement with the Gohbee people...it's not my business to do any such thing. I don't feel a company friend making Gohbee coments with two free helis is what most people would consider an unbiased opion . If you feel that is an insult then so be it...it still does not change things.
So far the best coments on this new remake of the Raptor is that it's a great parts machine and it's similar to raptor in many ways....has anyone really flown the stock heli without swaping so many things to make it reasonable to fly ?? What happened to the 50 that you said you were building (stinger 50) ??
Don't take things so personal...if the heli is no good...well that's life ...if it's as good as the owner claims then wheres the people that love the new stinger...is it so great that they are keeping it a trade secret

I'm not done with it yet. I was able to put two flights on it before the winter weather hit.
I have the OS Hyper 50 in it.
For the first flight I mostly was tweaking the pitch curve. The Hyper 50 seems to have significantly more power and I was having trouble keeping the head speed where I wanted it.
For the second flight I just stick banged the snot out of it. I was also testing the new (new to me anyway) Star Flite blades and I was trying to see if I could get a boom strike or some sort of heli failure.
I could not break it until I botched the auto and managed to break a head link.
Some time next year I will finish up with it and then decide how to give it away.

I did. I do like how the head responds. According to Wayne Mann this is a Caliber head. He then went on to say that this style head was in his opinion the best design that he had flown. Now I'm not good enough to tell the difference but I do know that I like how it flies. Does it fly like a Fury? I don't know. I don't even know how to tell. Tell me how to measure something like that to make the comparison and I will do it. The only thing that I do know for sure is that I wouldn't comment on the comparison without at least flying both machines.

I try very hard not comment on things that I dont know about or things that I have heard via third party. If I do pass something along from a third party I make sure to state that.

I did finally break down and put a driven tail on mine. It is funny how quickly we come to rely on something with out even realizing it.

Gohbee

Just had to add my two cents worth. I made an effort to go see the owner of Gohbee David I think his name was when he first put a post on RR for Reps. He seemed to be a very nice guy and very enthusiastic about his product. Being fairly new to heli's I cannot give a very comprehensive overview of the Gohbee heli's. Jim
