Found it at the LHS about 40 minutes away.... was able to convince the wife on her birthday....to just take a ride around to look at xmas lights (grin)... woah....whats that? Is that a hobby store, well let me turn around and run in and see if they have any magazines :-) One XRB and the dec issue of model helicopter mag later, everyone is happy.

I guess the gold watch I gave her as a present got the good mood going!

And oh yea it was on sale if she asks

My XRB came in today as well. This thing is loads of fun for the home. I already broke a set of blades though. hehehe, crashed into the side of a mountain, i mean side of the bed frame. I just popped a new set on and was up and flying again. Now i keep out of the bedroom. Too many trees, i mean furniture. The living room is a blast with the high ceilings.

I love this thing. I have been experimenting with the weights and locations. I like the light weights with the mellow rod setting. kind of gives you 4 choices of responsiveness. I have flown mine outside and with the mellowest setting it couldn't hold against a fart let alone wind. with it like it is I can actually have fun. with the wildest setting my garage was too small and I ran out of room fast.

I have busted a few blades, last time all 4 at once. I was doing a fast banked corner in the back of the garage and caught something hanging from the wall. lucky there was a table right under it and only fell a foot and a half. I have to smoke in the garage so I charge the little guy up and fly every trip out there. sure has helped my nose in feel. this is my newest favourite toy.

Yea, So far I cracked a skid (thank god for JB Weld, and took out all four blades on a couch cushion when I pulled an emergency landing to miss my son who insisted on running at it while in flight.

Now it seems to require substaintial foward stick to keep from flying backwards, I guess something got knocked out of alignment.

I guess I'll start with adjusting the receiver first.
