I'm sorry to say.........

But I have lost hope in our law enforcement............!
And I believe that christophe has too!!

They have.......A name / address / phone number / and at least two eye witnesses.........But they will do nothing!!!

this is very sad.........and very frustrating for christophe.
I feel very bad for him. It has to be very hard to just sit and wait!! I have to say that he has lots of pactience....

I have always had the upmost respect for our law system.....I have a 1st cousin thats a DPS trooper......and my father is retired PD. So by having law enforcement in my family I have always had confidence in the police.........But the responce of the Austin police dept. is PATHETIC!!!!

I wish there was something that we could do........But.....we would probably get the police called on us.........then we would be Arrested, Booked, Charged, Sentenced and have the bar's slammed in our face!!!...........all in a matter of about 2 hours!!!
And spend christmas fending off sexual assault from some guy named "poppa bear".............
With a court date for sometime in march!!!......

Oh yeah!!.....and the judge would most definetly deny us bail!!!!!!

well!!.............I have vented enough!!........

Hate to say I told you so. I know today that the police forces around the country are understaffed and under paid. I'm sure each detective has hundreds of cases going on all at once and can't give them all the attention them deserve. With that being said why don't the handle the easy ones and clear them up. With my sons case and your friends case that is two slam dunks. Can you imagine how many more just like these there are. This SUXS.

It would be real easy to go to their house......and nose around!!...
but .........you see.....like I said in my last post.........it would all probably back-fire on us and we would end up spending the holidays in the slammer!!!.........

You see...................thats how it works!!.........
People like us......law-abiding citizens.........are always so careful to do the "right" thing........We don't want to risk any unwanted legal trouble!!
We're...in a sence....scared!!......"oh!...Don't break the law!!!".......I'l go to Jail!!!.......I better slow down!!.....I'll get a ticket!!!.......Holy crap!!...my inspection sticker is out!!!...there's another ticket!!......money-money-money-money.................If they can take your money.........well....hell's bell's....we got time for that!!!!
Would you belive that the austin police gave my 67yr old mother a ticket for going 49 in a 45mph zone!!!..........and then scolled her for having a burned out licence plate light!!!!...........WTF!!!

But!!!..........hey!!........hold on!!.......now....what if I were to steal something??........yeah!....like a HELI!!!....hell, they won't care about that!!......who's gonna give a sh$# about a $2000.00 heli!!....
We got tickets to write......people to fine!!....hell....I got a idea!!!...lets go find some family guy, who forgot to renew his home alarm permit...and throw his ass in jail!!!!........(yes..that happend to me!).

.............Sorry...........I got a little upset there for a minute!

Well......the bottom line is.............It's christmas!!.....with new-year's around the corner.........this was a great time to rob somebody!!!

I hope the guys who stole christophe's freya...try to hover it!!!.......
Maybe they will lose orientation, and fly it into their phucking head!!!!!

merry X-mas everybody.......And remember..........if someone rob's your stuff..........don't call the police!!........
chase them down...and shoot them!!!

That really ticks me off!!!!! I live nearby in RR and I know what you mean about the stupid tickets, but real crime doesn't pay , only harassing hard working folks that are running late. I still say that this shouldn't be over. Sugar in the gas tank, something to even the score....Maybe round up a posse of RC'ers and pay them a social visit!

Stake their place out and note when they leave and when they come back,have about 4 or 5 with you when they come out (you and your friends all wearing black and armed) (swat team tactics) cable tie their arses and duct tape their mouths, then retrieve what is yours, then leave em like that! be sure to wear gloves! and park where they can't see a license tag or identify your vehicle..

oh hell while you are at it just tape em altogether to a pole and put a sign on them identiyfing them as thieves, and as an innocent passer by seen this and call the cops!

I think this subject has really touched off a nerve in the RC community, because 99.9 of flyers are decent, hardworking, helpful people (that has been my experience) and it really angers us when others don't follow the rules and then get away with it! You really feel like exacting frontier justice when you see law enforcement do nothing, even wth all of the detective work done for them.
They sure can find the resources to sit at the bottom of a hill and hand out bogus tickets, just because you didn't ride your brakes enough.

this can't end this way with the bad guys winning!

The sad part to all of this is that the laws aren't made to protect the rights of the average law abiding citizen. Laws are made to protect the rights of the accused. People get arrested everyday and confess to the crimes they commit. Usally within hours or days they are released on bail or just flat released waiting to stand trial. My question is if you have the evidence and a confession why waste the tax payer money on a trial. Just sentence them and put them away.

In regards to the topic the police are not stupid at least I hope not. Anyone that has the balls to walk off with someones heli like that most likely they have stolen before or since. By arresting the people and searching thier property they could probably clear many cases. It seems to me that today police are not concerned with the petty crimes thier all looking for the the big news making score.

Like I said earlier when I had all of my problems with my Crack dealing nieghbor the police were for the most part not interested. I had a NARC detective come to my shop and he sat iin the parking lot for 45 minutes. In that time he counted 23 deals go down. In the begining he seemed interrested. But over the coarse of a few weeks his interrest dwindled. I called the police out everytime I saw something going down and it seemed like they just kept getting slower and slower to responed. The cops that did come, it seemed like it was a different cop everytime and they had no clue that this was a crack house. After a while they made it seem that I was the trouble maker and not to call them unless I had proof. Finally one cop came out that cared. He gave me his personal phone number and told me to call him anytime day or night and he would see that the proper response was taken. It took us a year to get to this point. But within a few weeks the arrest started happening. Most everyone that was arrested was arrested on other warrants. Unfortunately it took someone being murdered in the house to get ride of the probelm all together. After the murder the narc detective called me and told me that the reason for lack of responce from the police was due to the fact that he could take me to over a 100 houses just as bad or worse than the one we had. They just don't have the man power or resources to handle all of them.

I think that the police could take some of the traffic cops and reposition them so they could handle more of the easy cases.

I geuss its all about the bottom line these days.

This is a very sensitive subject!!.....
But it all falls down to what the police feel is "priority".........
To them....a r/c heli is just a toy!!.....thats all......to them, they have more "important" things to do!.
In the police's opinion..... Why care about some guy and his toy!....
the police don/t realize that they are NOT toy's....
Yes this subject has effected alot of people in the R/C comunity......
I never thought that the police would be so unhelpful!!...

We must have offended someone....because I recieved a E-Mail, from someone who I won't mention...stating that this post has turned into a "police bashing" topic!!......
WTF!!........I stated many times that I had respect for the police..........I was just let down by the lack of responce from them. And if you don't do your job at work....are you gonna get a pat on the back??....hell no!!
Your gonna get criticized and have a "come to jesus" meeting with you supervisor.

So................to that person who sent me that e-mail...........GFY!!!!
