I `ve got an early kit and i think the secondary geat is 52 tooth right? Flying with a guy today he says he`s using a 56 tooth and that`s it`s better for the bird, is that right?

I would say no. There was some early speculation that the 52t secondary was geared a little agressively for the hacker motor and might have been causing the failures, but the motors were failing with the 55t as well. I guess it depends on your flying and HS preferences, but with the 52t you get more HS, and I like more HS with the ION.

I went from the 52 to the 54. I like the 52 much better. A little hotter on the batteries, but nothing like they are with a LRK. I'm not sure about the motor temps because it is cold here now.
