I started in "90" took about a 4 year break in there until late last year.
So I guess about 8 years total.

Really a Newbie

I got my first used heli in March 2002.

I can hover and do forward flight. When I the heli feels good, I can also loop and roll, that's about it for now.

flying Helis

Started RC in 1975 and in RC Helicopters in 1985 with one of the first ARF Shuttles (17 years). Now you see the reason for the "oldfart" nick

Have logged 1240 hours (approximately 6200 flights) and burned 440 gallons of fuel.

Few of the heli-flyers that have entered in the last 5 years or so realize how relatively easy it is today.

Sorry, I couldn't resist myself, I had to throw that in. Things sure have changed a lot over the years, haven't they.

How long?

I started in74'.....that's 1974 for you jokers!! Also ended in 1974.....hehehe.....fixed main pitch is a nightmare Then flew the "other" type of aircraft for a few yrs and got bored. Started with my 3rd heli in Sept.1999, with the exception of last yr. been "heli crazy" ever since and lovin' every minute, I have collected a few "planes" in the process as well, but, they don't seem to get much attention..
