More just shipped and more are coming in Friday or Monday and should be to the west coast by the 17th or 20th.

If you want to check a particular store, let us know and we will check their shipping status for you.

Thanks

Just got mine at the weekend - what a clever piece of kit it is.
Try it on the advanced settings - paddles and with 120% atv on cyclic - and minus 20% expo it's brilliant.

I have your answer!

Guys, have ya'll looked on ebay yet? Well I have, I have been looking at the MegaTech Housefly @megatech.com and it is the same exact thing that Hirobo is selling for $259.00 for their XRB. The only difference is that the housefly doesn't have a plastic simulated turbine engine like Hirobo does, that is the only thing that I have found.
Kam had bought one of the MegaTech Housefly from Hodge's and he has been having a blast with it. Now that I have done some digging around on ebay I have found this same exact heli but it is called a Dragonfly. Here is the link:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...5942246215&rd=1

I am getting one myself for Christmas, and a buddy of mine has bought his and is awaiting for his to be delievered. So I should see first hand what this little heli can do in a couple of days.

Merry Christmas to Everyone,
Troy

Should be able to find that Megatech for $199.00...that's how much it is at Hobby Town USA in Omaha.

It looks like it's a great machine and is getting good reviews.

Is this that Lama thing or something else??

Practice! It might be costly but it's the only way we get better!

Make sure you compare apples to apples. Does the Megatech use coreless motors? Are parts readily available and will they be next Christmas? Do they have anyone like Jeff Green to make sure things are taken care of if you happen to have a problem?

These are theoretical questions, but they shouldn't be overlooked, either.

FWIW,

I have that megatech dragonfly, and it flies like a pile of pooh with flys on...

The servos are jerky and inaccurate, and flying it is nigh on impossible.. the video is how it flies just when you're trying to hover it...

Get the XRB and save some money in the long term

Avoid that housefly completely. They are just not the same as your typical hirobo quality

My new XRB report

Well the big brown bringer of toys truck arrived today and low and behold it was my new XRB SR. I fought the urge to fly it right out of the box and sat down and read the manual cover to cover. Before I even put batteries in the TX I took the A and B blades off and maticulasly balanced them. Then came the tracking test. The upper "A" blades needed one turn of adustmant to get them right on the money. The lower "B" blades were spot on out of the box. I charged the battery turned everything on and slowly fed in some power. I got her light on the skids and fed in a bit more power. AIRBORNE!!! A trim analises reveled a need for one click right aileron trim, and there she sat in a perfect hands off hover in the middle of my livingroom. I live in central Nevada at an elevation of 6500 ft. The XRB climed out like a home sick angle. The quality (fit and finish) of the Hirobo XRB is VERY impressive. My cat looks at it in aww and seems to think, "should I kill this intruder or wait and see what it's next move will be. If I get too close she raises a paw warning me as if to say " I don't care how much it cost, bring that thing back here again and I will show you what these paws can do. To sum it up guys....It's a GREAT!!! machine and loads of fun. If you are having a hard time deciding and can fork over the few extra bucks, (compared to the knock offs) I feel the XRB SR properly treated and maintained will give Ooogals of pleasure. Very fun.!! and If you can apretiate how far we have come technology wise to be able to go out and purchase a ready made aircraft and fly it in your living room, then you are the ones who can take the enjoyment of this machine to it's fullest. Go out and get one, sit back relax, and fly...enjoy the miracle of flight.
