| I dont think you are asking that much.... so... lets break this list down for you!
I am answering all these question based on only my experiance with the beta copy.
------
1. Realistic gyro settings like Tru Flite has. I want to emulate or have enough control over the gyro so that I can duplicate what I'm seeing at the field. TF will make the tail seem really close to what I've got at the field if I want. I don't want the tail to feel like I'm playing a game.
Gyro settings can be dialed in to your liking.... You can have it set up to kick out just like your real one.
The tail blades also create the sound they make when they are really loaded, like while doing a piro loop.
-------
2. The ability to set up auto practice in a menu where I set the spot in the sky where the machine starts with the head already spooled up and either upright or inverted.
Dont know about the posioning for you to start you autos. But the rotor disk reacts, very close to how your real heli does. It slows, and you can see and hear the rotor disk speed. It is the best feeling auto I have ever felt on a sim. And they keep making it better with ever updated testing version.
-------
3. The ability to define a heli pad to my specs and put the spot where I want it to add in practice.
You can! you can literally walk around all 5,000 sq miles of 3d graphics if you would like. And you can pick any location to fly from.
------
4. I want to be able to export the model settings to a spreadsheet, change them and then import them back to the sim instead of having to bury myself in menus and pull downs to get the model adjusted to what I like.
There are 100's of settings you can adjust. The menus are not too burried, but you do have to select the area of what you are working on. If they were all on one screen, you would not be able to find anything. There is a new settings interface that allows you to see better what you are working on. An option would be nice to print out all the adjustable options on one spreadsheet. I wish my 9Z did that as well!

5. If I'm going to be using a TX that is supplied with the sim then I need control over the mixing, pitch and throttle curves and all the pertinent things that I have in an upper end computer radio. IOW, I don't want to have to use my TX if the software will do it too.
There are more adjustments on G3 that 95% of the people will never need! And if you want it to really act like you computer radio... you can use your computer radio.
------
6. When I hit throttle hold I want to hear the rotor spinning like I'm at the field.
It does.
------
7. No artificial barriers like XTR.
Nope.
-------
8. I want the planes to rival AFPD. Nothing less will do.
Cannot comment.
-------
9. When I'm in fullscreen mode I need popups to tell me what is going on, like pitch, rotor rpm and gyro status, dual rate status etc..
You can have them. Actually, when in normal mode (not full screen) the only thing on the screen other than the sim, is a single pull down line at the top of the screen... no more windows window.
-------
10. I want a governor mode that will be disabled when I hit TH and I want multiple gov settings either via switches or KB.
That is how it works.
-------
11. If I have to put the CD in the drive to use the sim, forget it. Put the dongle in the TX or in the USB connector. I can't be bothered with having to hassle with a key disk and I simply won't buy software the forces me to have to mess with a CD.
I agree 100% on that one!!!! finding the disk was such a pain in the butt! The new controller has the software protection built in... So install G3 on all your computers and take the controller with you wherever you go!

Just my personal views, of course. |
