Scale Model RC Helicopters > what gloss finish to use

I just finished my Century Airwolf project. It looks good and all, but I realized that the matt grey finish looks dull. Is there anything I could use to get this to shine like high gloss? Maybe some carwax or gloss spray that I could apply easily would be great.

Thanks.

Is the Century Airwolf a nice fuse?? How does it compare to
the Vario??

I want a Airwolf something bad.

Until next time.... Keep them rotors outta the dirt....

The Century Airwolf is very nice. I bought the painted kit so I didn't have to worry about painting. One of the things I kinda don't like is that they paint it dull metallic grey. I've seen pics of the real airwolf and it looks gloss black and white. I wish they would've just painted it like that.

I cannot say anything about the Vario fuse because I have no experience with it nor have I seen it in person. But, judging by the price and what everybody else says, I guess it's way better than the Century fuse. It's for serious scalers that have unlimited budget.

The only way to make it glossy is to sand the entire fuse down with a scotchbrite pad, white, and then use clear on it. Using car wax will not really bring a shine to it. The real airwolf is a dark gunmetal gray and off white color. I have seen matte finishes and shiny ones, and like the shiny better.
