UAV Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles > Any engineering reports or model designs on VTOL UAV's?

What brought me to this forum was a sense of design concepts for autonomous flight. After helicopters I came across ducted fan concepts like:

IStar

and the
Sikorsky Cypher

Anyone working on these desgins for model flight?

Here is a link to a 4 rotor design that I built a few years back.

If some can tell me how to post photo here I will post photos of the prototype that I built for Sparta Inc.

Looks like some good fun there. I couldn't find much on your website but I have seen other multi rotor deisgns.. and even a few in production.

I think the future of UAVs will be confined to single rotor or perhaps counter rotating single shaft designs. I lean toward ducted fan rotors with either ported or vane controlled flight. However, there isn't a lot of design material out on this stuff. Anyone in the field or the hobby that can give some pointers toward research or any other sources of info?
