Hi All,
I was wondering if the mult blade gyro is really worth the cost??
On a couple of other forums, some guys a flying multis without'em, and say by softening up the expo on the cyclic, they're quite stable.
Just curious.

hey doc!!!
i have never tried a gyro secially mae for a multiblade head but, unless those things are more than reasonably priced, i would not worry about it. i have flown several different multiblade head systems and they all do fine. even my home made one for my oh-58d does well on its own. i think if you play around with the expo on your radio you can adjust the feel to your liking. they do fly different from the flybared heads but no more difficult. what do one of those gyros cost anyway and who's got them????

Emile, air star sell the Vario gyro for around $310. I think I'll just practice with the exponitial soft around center for awhile.
Man, I'd sure love a pic of that OH 58D. I was thinking about moding a 206 BIII. Looks like a lot of upper cowling work for sure.

Thanks Naomi...........a friend of mine is letting me have is for experimental use..........unfortunatlly, he wiped out a Twin Star and will be out of commision for a bit. I sure appreciate the shout just the same.

Hope your getting to fly a bunch.........my "real job" is kinda nuts and quality heli time is at a premium for me right now.

Gonna try an E powered scaler here soon..........they've come a long way and are very efficient now.

I did.. was out flying my Skyfox.. had someone all set up fine.. was tearing up the sky this evening .. I have the Yellow Evolution Cabin on it now.. I really like it alot.

I envy ya Naomi.........that is a sweet flying ship. I had a blade grip failure ( very rare) on my Benzin Trainer awhile back and she was totaled..., ( ....no one was hurt, but it sure slowed my flying down...!
I'd been flying a Starlet 50 'till I sold it, now I'm waiting for my new electric powered Jet Ranger kit to get here. Hopefully I'll have it up by late summer.
