| if you want to have good results with your teletubby do the following procedure and you will enjoy it for a long time. If you don't it will fail eventually and will go hard over to one side due to vibration damaging the internals of the sensor.
Open sensor case
Remove 3 sided board assembly (comes right out)
Make 3 thin slices of receiver foam wrap about 1/16 x 3/8 x 3/8
Slide the sensor assy back into the case, putting the foam wedges between the sensor boards and the inner case wall
Replace the case cover
This will prevent the boards from rattling inside the case. I have seen these fail in very short order depending on how they were mounted. I recommend using CSM tape. On mine, I did this trick on the advice of others from the start and got hundreds of flights out of it before I sold it to a guy that wanted to use it in a special electric project (where he removed the case anyway).
It's a functional HH gyro, but has no vib dampening on the sensor case internals. |
