I have this like new TSK that I want to put in a fuselage. It has a belt drive and a very long stock tailboom. I will consider converting to a shaft or wire drive but before all that, I'd like to know if anyones had any experiance with this heli and any fuselage.

Thanks

fuse

hey dude!!
if that tailboom wasn't so long and the kalt fuse i have wasnt so cramped, we could fit it in the phi 407. i tried to trial fit my xcell mechs and it was too big! i may have to use one of my hawks with a .46/.50 in it. i think miniature's long ranger fuse may fit it. will have to get jrav8er to size his fuse up with the mystar and see.

drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft

yes , I bought the jazz ranger from irwin(I know ) a long time ago , put and flew the dl b160 in it with blackstar mechs .. a mystar will go well too. my suggestions is to always fly with a shaft drive for tail control , never a belt which work well with smaller machines but oscillate too much , vibrate within the boom and are subject to rob the main rotor of rpm during a throttle off if too tight as any belt tail doesn't freeweel well enough if pressed on the bearings .. unless the belt is like a schluter direct drive to the main gear I don't use it .. and only use torque tubes to the tail.

Scale fuselages for MyStar 60

There is a local fellow that has mounted the FunKey Bell 222 fuselage on his MS60 you can see pictures at: www.leisuretech.ca in the picture gallery. I have also seen it mounted in the Funkey Jet Ranger.

Thanks Phil, Much appreciated.

Ed, are you talking primarally on scale fused helis?

My two Freya's pod-n-booms, one YS 61 ST2 and YS80, don't seem to be affected by the belt in them. But then I don't run them squeeky tight. If it doesn't jump when I torque it with my hands then it will be good in flight. Hell,.... if it breaks or strips, then ALL my practiced autos will come in handy for something other than my dang 30 size scale heli's flaming out. ......... Twice so far! Getting the low end set on a small engine in a fuselage is a real pain sometimes.

Thanks fellas
