So who here knows what would be the best scale fuse to put a 99SE into? I would like to be able to go with one that I can put a cockpit into with seats if possable. I REALY like the MD500E, and would love to do that. But I am not to sure about the fit. Any ideas? And I am not stuck on the 500. I just like it a lot. I would also love to hear some other ideas as well.

TIA

The Min Air LongRanger would be a good choice. I am thinking about doing one myself. It was designed for the Xcell line and is a easy fit and the fuse is scale also, two bladed head too.

If it`s the Futura SE you`ve got, then Robbe do some great scale bodies for the mechanics, including a great 500E. Check out their site at

The 99SE is an X-Cell. It is an all graphite/heavily upgraded bird. But thanks for trying to help.

I would do the Ranger thing, but there is a guy here that has 2 of those. And while I will say that it fits nicely. I wanted to do something a little different. I am up for any other ideas. Is there any chance that it would work in a Vario fuse? And still be able to install a cockpit with seats?

Thanks guys.

The Century and Funkey fuses from Heli-World all pretty much fit X-Cells. These have reasonable quality fiberglass, but you are pretty much on your own for figuring out how to build it.

X-Cells mechanics are not as adaptable as Vario mechanics for scale purposes. E.g. apart from taking the tail drive from the bottom of the main gear, it's hard to vary the height to accomodate high tail booms (e.g. H500) or low booms (Huey, Cobra, etc.).

To make room for a cockpit, you may have to move the servos to the rear of the mechanics. A compact model like the 500 makes this more likely.

To make Vario bodies work, you will have to devise your own woodwork for mounting the mechanics.

Graupner (www.veast-online.com or something like that) also make some nice bodies.

Scalehouse is another option. They advertise in Rotory, and don't have a web site. Scalehouse have a nice Bell 212 and 412.

There is also Len Mount's (www.lenmountscalefuselages.com ??) stuff. They are quite large, giving you lots of room.
