Hi Folks, been busy on the Lama, it's now fully constructed, so that I can get a feel for it and plan my scale fittings plus paint and mods etc.
Will strip it down tomorrow and make ready to paint and weather up.

One quick question:-

Does anybody know the minimum and maximum RPM range of the 3-bladed head on this model? (Hirobo Lama 30-40 size)

Many thanks

OK Folks, here are the bulid up shots of the Bell 47 as promised, I have tried to label some points of interest. The written piece to go with the photos is on page 1 on this section. I am more than happy to answer any questions or clarify any points. All The Best!

Hi Boyd-Hoverup, meant to tell you about the tail drive mod, I'm just using a hardened steel wire 0.4mm thicker doesn't sound much different but it is when you compare them, have also read that tail drives only break if there is runout at the tail rotor gearbox end. If they are set up properly the give no trouble.
I'm just making sure!
And I will life the component!!
30 hours for starters.
Here is pic of Lama, before it is dismantled and goes to paint.
Going to do tail mod on that too!
All The Best.

Hi Albig, I think I'm going to go for 1500-1600 rpm! As far as flying a 3 blader goes I have heard that they can be tricky, thats why I got one!
Why do I feel that I may be eating those words very soon! Oh also my friend has found a great full size site, www.airliners.net
