Hi Folks, been busy on the Lama, it's now fully constructed so that I can get a feel for it and plan my scale fittings plus paint and mods etc.
Will strip it down tomorrow and make ready to paint and weather up. Here is pic of Lama, before it is dismantled and is acid primed.
Wire tail drive could be suspect so will upgrade to a thicker guage too.
Skids are too narrow and short so they will be lengthened.
Will move all sevos out of cockpit, I think, same as I did with the Bell 47.
Will also increase the rotor span by a few inches.
Li-pos will go in stretchers on the skids similar to the Bell 47.
I am also on the look out for a 3 bladed tail rotor, any ideas would be very welcome. Many Thanks! All The Best.

Bloke that is a really nice looking machine, great job on the details!

Boyd, howz your scale lama coming along?

I did a scale Eco 8 in the B0 105 and man that one project was enough for me. You guys have incredible patience and attention for scale details, these are not easy projects to take on as I learned from my experience.

If any of you guys are interested, I have been tinkering and built some great circuits using the Parallax Basic stamp (basic programmable IC). This little gem is really light, and can read signals from the RX and turn almost any kind of circuit, on or off, can set a servo to exact positions based on electrical or receiver inputs, run motors for winches, connect to temp sensors, etc.

Send emails if you want details these things are really cool...

I built a circuit interface to operate my Nikon camera's zoom, focus, and shoot functions from 2 channels on my receiver...

Son, before you can soar with the eagles you have to learn to sh** with the chickens

Bellbloke - found this Army Lama with stretchers pic. Thought you might like a full scale example to use for your battery cloaking approach. I have a different approach that copies another full scale practice that I'll be using on mine.

Many thanks for that picture Boyd, I got a bit carried away and started another Lama topic without checking this one! Sorry about that. Anyway if we start any more topics on Lamas we'll have a whole "Herd?" I'm not sure what a collection of Lamas are called. I remember hearing somewhere that a group of Pathologists is a Body. " A Body Of Pathologists."

ozheli, would you mind posting some pics of your Shuttle conversion? Where did you mount the batteries? Are you using 2 4s4p packs from Thunderpower 8000 Mah each?

Thanks!
