Who sells TSK Mystar equipment, and where can I get a canopy for a 30 size. I'm asking for a friend who picked one up.

Are there any other canopies on the market that will fit?

I hate to say this but you might want to
give Hobbies and Heli's a call (just be
prepared for abuse).

The OEM Mystar canopy was wickedly
expensive in its day at something like $150.

Leisuretech in Canada (run by Phil Noel) had a
line on inexpensive Lexan canopies taht fit but
I dont know the current status.

STICK A FORK IN THEM!!THEY ARE DONE!!

Helitech is out of most of there parts and have informed me that they will NOT be restocking the sold out items.Well what that tells me is that Tsk owners including me are screwed or you will have to learn how to adapt parts from other helis which I have.If i were you I would call hobbies and helis and ask for an AFTER MARKET 3o size canopy that would fit the Mystar 30.You will probably have to mess with the mounting posts but many should fit and is MUCH cheaper!!I have never used the original Mystar 60 canopy on mine but opted for an after market just for looks.I e-mailed from Singapore to Canada looking for parts, don't bother!!Remember,JUST DON'T CRASH!!

Canopies for TSK 30 and 46

We have found that the Century CN2242C fiberglass canopies are a very inexpensive alternative and an easy fit on both of these machines. Also the Century Hawk or Falcon tail booms cut to length (625mm) are a very good fit.

We also have a local top 3D flyer who mounted a Falcon SE head on his MyStar 46 in order to attain a much faster cyclic rate. Now when he crashes he can use the Falcon parts for his head. He now has over 45 gallons of fuel (over 600 tanks) through his M-46 and everything is still nice and slop free.

I use to sell this guy a X-cell 30 that I modified to fit his MyStar 30. There made of a plastic called BETG. It's a 2 piece clear plastic canopy.

Vario has a nice Tail boom.

I get tailbooms for the Mystar 60 at Vario.They are about a dollar less than what a Tsk dealer use to sell them for and they are .8mm thick.Also when they have then available, you can get a few different colors.I agree with the head issues and soon will be finding myself changing heads just so I will be able to change the head spindle when I do crash!I love my Tsk and will hold on for as long as I can.Mean while I to am shopping for a Craptor or equivalent .I know the difference from a $250. crash and a $50. crash!

MS60 tail boom

Safe_Cracker,

Where do you buy your Vario tail boom for MS60? I'm assuming it's the same 20mm diameter. Do you have to cut it to get the right length? I'm looking for a carbon boom for MS60 but couldn't find them anymore.

No,only aluminum..

20mm x 810mm aluminum.I did notice that they did have a 20mm x 790mm I don't know if you could actually work with this.Ask 1up he should be able to help you.You can e-mail Silas if I remember correctly he has a few cf booms for the 60 but pricy! silas@skheli.com

I have been everywhere and I do mean everywhere!!Silas might have a tailboom or two but that is it and I would move FAST!! I tried the UK sight and they e-mailed Silas, hahahha..The most luck you might have is looking to Canada.Helitech is a joke.They gave us some type of hope and just left us hanging.I was told that Hi-products bought Tsk but what's there plans?Shoot there is a-lot of potential cash out there just in part supplying.Or did they just buy it to ensure nobody else would start it up again providing more competition to the market?

Hi-Tech bought the molds to some glass work ONLY. They did not buy, or have any plans to produce, parts, tooling, etc.

Heli-Tech was the last chance for continued production, it would seem.

TSK parts

Thanks for the tips everyone. Actually, looking on the bright side, TSK going out of business has made it possible for me to add many of these great machines to my collection at a price that would otherwise be unreachable by me. Recently, I bought a new unassembled MS60 for less than the price of a Raptor60 and another nearly new MS30 for less than a Raptor30!! Well, if I crash (which I'll very carefully try not to), I would just trash it just like everybody else would trash a Raptor but in the meantime I got a much much better machine to play with.

I'll try to contact Silas and see if he still has any CF boom left but I was hoping that there must be other birds with 20mm boom that I can use to beautify mine. It's just a tube, right? If not, aluminum is fine with me.

I agree that Helitech brought up our hopes but hasn't delivered so far. All they have are just parts that they bought from Rick's RC. I wish I had stocked up more parts from Rick's when they had the clearance sale.

Isn't that a real crock of sh_t ?Isn't that false advertisement?They were supposed to PRODUCE replacement parts not just sell originals from store sales.I have enough parts for one last rebuild.After that, who knows.

Yeap...If it is working out that Helitechusa is not going to produce new parts for TSKs, what a shame.

Looks like it could have been a money maker with the prices they could have gotten for the parts.

Maybe not enough demand as we think for TSK stuff and they found it out before they committed to parts production.

Looked like a nice site with serious intentions.
