| First thing, are you using the sleeved nut? If you are, make sure the length is correct, in that it doesn't bottom out on the collet before it fully engages on the fan hub/top hat asm. Next, take a file and remove a bit of material from the "points" on the surface of the nut facing the engine. Some times the points dig into the material, not the full face of the nut. This will give you a false sense of it being tight, but will back out quickly. Finally, you said that you tighten the ba-Jesus out of it, well do that and then give it a little more. Loctite should not be required.
