After moving to Colorado from the mid-west, I was really disappointed with my old Ergo 50 at 5000+ feet, so I decided to design and build a high-altitude machine. I call it "What the Heli".
Pics are old, now have V 600s and V paddles:

My goals were simple with this machine. I wanted a powerful 3D machine that flew with the power of a 91 at sea-level and be very cheap to repair. I feel I have achieved it. I have flown it about 20 flights and I am in love. Very powerful and fast, does 200' loops with ease. I pull +13/-12,5 degrees of pitch on Maverick 600s with no bog, even in tick-tocs. It has held up well thus far. Here is the breakdown.
YS91 w/MP2 on Coolpower 30%
Custom CNC carbon frames (I own a CNC Bridgeport)
R50 boom back
R50 main gears, shaft, head, swash
86 tooth main gear, 12 tooth pinion(7.18-1), 1950 head speed
GV-1
R90 clutch, clutch bearing blocks
Vigor motor mount and cross members
Voyager main shaft bearing blocks and landing gear braces
Metal head block
Bergen 60 fan and shroud
DS3421 JR mini servos on CCPM
Sullivan 16oz round tank
8lbs, 7ozs dry weight
Raptor 50V1 canopy
