I just noticed the new contact address on the bottom of the Airfoil site. Is hawkeye skycam the person taking over a part of the Airfoil business?

At last light on the great mistery, John did say he would be announcing it on the 13th.

Is it Hawkeye who paid John $250000 to buy into his business?

The amounts are what John claimed he had sold off part of his business for on another forum.

Its always nice to know who you are dealing with in business....

I always want to know who I am buying from before I make a substantial purchase.

What's that old expression? buyer beware, umm...

Any business which has hidden partners and is not proud to announce expansion should be treated with caution.

Year one of business studies degree.

That why "who cares"

Who cares

I personally don't care whether Airfoil expands or not as long as I continue to get good service and good equipment. I just thought that since their website had gone public with the new address, it was ok to discuss on the board.

It is final Hawkeye Skycam is now partners with Airfoil Helicam. The paperwork is complete and we are under way!

John approached me awhile back and said his orders were going through the roof. He was getting about 150 e-mails a day and the phone was ringing off the wall. He needed help. He had a lot more products that he needed to get through R&D and was spending all his time building, shipping and answering questions.

I said yes to John’s offer. Now I am heading up the manufacturing and distribution of the products. This will allow John to spend all his time on R&D. We have a lot of new products coming out soon. Just to mention one, the autopilot. We hope to have this released in the next 30 days.

I think this was a very strong move for Airfoil Helicam and I am looking forward to working in partnership with John. This will allow us to make our products and to serve our customers better.

I wish you both well.

John claimed on another forum that the deal was done three months ago.

I hope he is honest with you and it turns into a great business.

So who will handle the service side of the Airfoil mounts? I attempted contact via email with John a couple of weeks ago regarding a warranty/service issue (bad servo) on a new mount and got no response.

Do I need to call John direct or contact Tim?

John,
No idea why it kicked back but you can send future replies to cobrajet@comcast.net. FYI, Jim Fairchild's been trying to call you regarding the same issue.

Thanks,

John,
Sounds like Jim (Air Ruckus) got a hold of you today and the servo is on its way back to Airfoil. We hope to be back in the air soon.

Thanks,

Thanks for being all over this, John. It looks like the servo will not ship out till tomorrow. Jim was not able to swing by today to pick it up. Along with the gear train play I mentioned, it may also have a bad pot as it gets 'nervous' and doesn't always center. The tilt servo, on the other hand, is tight and holds real well!
