In 2000

When I first got into the Heli thing I ordered a R60V2 a JR 10X and most of the tools and support equipment from Heliproz and they shipped it I got the confirmation from they but it never got scanned from the hub???
I waited for a week to show up but it never did I called Heliproz and they said they would check tracking and would get back to me????
a couple days later they called me and asked if I got it HELL NO!!!
I asked what the hell was going on that was alot of money I spent on that stuff and I wanted some answers Eric said he would get back with me I asked him to send me anouther setup and he said he couldnt do that HUMMMMMMM. OK what ever.....

Come to find out the UPS Guy had stolen my package and put a different label to a friend of his in some other state!!!! BASTARD!!!

He is know doing time for that and many other people he did that to......

Even after knowing all of this and filing a claim Eric would not send me anouther setup until he got the claim check from UPS..
It was a big letdown but I got the Heli And 10X a Few weeks later...

Oh well you just never know---------------------------------!

DHL

I've shipped a few planes using their ground service. No problems, and inexpensive (if you have an account with them.)

I sent 2 different postal money orders 3 day Priority via USPS and it took 3 weeks for them to arrive to each destination. Sometimes I think the post office guys get tempted.

I also had my brother send me a box of tapes via USPS and the contents where replaced with bags of sand during shipment.

Priority Mail has no guaranteed delviery time so 3 days would have been an estimate.

So we are paying Priority rate which is supposed to be 2-3 days max and it gets there slower then first class? 3 weeks is stretching. Would you be happy to pay for next day and it get there a week later?

Also having to pay insurance is rediculous. We are paying them a service to deliver a package in good condition. If it does not gets there beat up or lost they should be responsible. Any service you pay for has to be done right to collect. It comes the day when you have to insure heart surgery or to insure the waiter to bring out your order.

jb_turner,

The USPS does the best it can given the information the customers give them. Properly packaged items arrive unscathed more often than not.
Often the names of the recipient and the sender are transposed. When this happens the package will be delayed. If the item arrives opened usually it is due to the inferior packaging by the customer.
You say 'you cannot track a Priority package' .

WRONG.

There is a service called Delivery Confirmation. This gives you a tracking number which you can acess from any computer you wish.
You can also choose to send your package First Class Insured, Certified , Or Registered. All of these services will give you a "tracking number".
Also with all of these services someone has to sign off on them every step of the way. This further minimizes any chance of theft. When a package is shipped by Ups or any of the other "private" carriers, I will not recieve it until the day after the first attempt. With USPS I can go to my local Post Office before 5:00 pm on the same day.

Package from Heliproz shipped 3-day service via UPS

$75.00

Package from Heliproz shipped Express Mail (if they used USPS)

$75.00 Not having to wait the two extra days

Priceless.

Are you on the list?

WRONG! Delivery Confirmation is NOT trackable the only USPS service that is trackable is EXPRESS MAIL any other numbered service is NOT trackable as they will ONLY give you a reference or confirmation as to delivery, COD etc. The other numbered services are NOT signed off every step of the way.
Express mail is the ONLY service USPS has that has a guaranteed delivery time.. any other service has an ESTIMATE delivery time.

When an item is scanned as by the morning clerk, and that information is downloaded, it is possible for the customer to find out whether the item has beeen recieved at their local post office.

DHL blows!
Sent a package, insured and tracked.
They delivered it to the wrong house, claimed it was a new driver.
The people who received it, claimed they never saw it.
There went $150.00 worht of stuff.
Then they make you jump through hoops to get your $$, because you need to prove what was in the box that you bought insurance on. (keep receipts).
PITA!!!
Every one of them.

Well I know how you feel. Although my what I went through pales in comparison to yours I did have two packages that mysteriusly went missing from USPS while enroute to my house. I wish you luck, and I do hope that you have a tracking number with your shipment. My items did not cost enough to warrant the packages having atraking number.

Good luck.

id imagine you could always buy more then you need if you go and collect items yourself, then it saves you shipping and downtime wen you next need a replacement?

at same time its not expensive if you've just saved yourself from losing a raptor 90 chassis in the post doesn't it.

I have been shipping hundreds of packages over the years for Ebay sales, and I have found DHL (formerlly Airborne Express) to be the BEST by far. USPS offers cheap shipping, but you get what you pay for. You'll be ok with USPS if your item gets to its destination ok, but when something goes wrong, good luck. I had a $3000 horse saddle shipped to Indiana via USPS fully insured. USPS delivered it to a ranch in TEXAS!! I took me 17 months and many letters/phonecalls to get my money back. Absolutely ridiculous. Customer service doesn't get much worse than that. DHL on the other hand misdelivered an Ipod a few weeks ago. I filed a claim and had a resolution 6 hours later. Thier shipping is cheap, incredibly fast, and has a tracking system that rivals UPS and FedEX. I guess what I'm trying to say is forget USPS unless you are sending letters, thats all their good for. When shipping anything of remote value, use DHL, you won't regret it. OfficeMax is a drop off location for DHL and most weeks they have some sort of a sale on shipping which brings the cost near to USPS prices and often cheaper.

Nice one! Now I am hoping something goes wrong just so I can use that line. Well maybe I don't really hope something goes wrong.

As it has been said, if you ship a lot (I do), you will have problems with them all. The USPS has always been the best, fastest, and cheapest. They have lost one or two items in the past year, but always pay (without problems) if you have the priority mail number. Over Christmas it took about ten days for a package sent Priority Mail, but it did arrive and in good order. Express mail is even better. I ship many items too and from California and they never make it in the two days...so they refund the shipping. Also...the USPS gives you free shipping supplies like tape and boxes. UPS has screwed me more times than I care to think about. I had an order of LIVE (well they were when they were shipped) Fish shipped overnight from North Carolina, I make sure I am home when I do this, I watched the driver get off the truck, ignore the "this side up" and put it sideways under his arm. He carries it to my door and hands it to me, there is a big hole in the side with water running out and the box is soaked. All over the box it said, "Fragile Live Fish". Well not any more! I had a package come a few weeks ago and the box was completely trashed. I could not beleive the item was still in it as there was no seam left on the box and it was wide open. I had a package shipped UPS overnight from California and it showed up two weeks late, the date said it ship on the day I ordered it. Fed Ex last year had an item of mine for over a month...they said they could not find my house. They delivered there two other times during the same month? They explained it was because they were shipped using a different type of Fed EX. Came out of the same terminal though. So as I said...I have had problems with all of them, but the fewest with the USPS and they are the only ones who pay for their mistakes. And as I said before, I can get items from California to PA in three days...delivered on Saturday if need be, it takes ten days with UPS ground. I do a lot of selling on EBay and getting the items to the Buyer fast and in good shape is very imprtant to my feedback. I always use USPS...keep up the good work!
