As for now there will be no carbon camera mount. The carbon cheets are both expensive and difficult to get around here. Also the aluminum serves the purpose just as good. I admitt that the carbon would look better, though.
Don't know what dimensions you are refering to but here are some for the stand: 24 cm high, 30 cm wide at the top and 38 cm at the base. And that is without the 7cm (diameter) noodles. The U will accept a camera that is 12.5 cm high and 15 cm wide.
