Aerial Photography and Video > How to trigger a still camara without a servo

hi,

I was wondering, I've got a very tiny still camara, that I want to mount on my Protech Zoom400 helicopter. This is a camera with a microswitch. So, instead of pushing this microswitch with a servo, is there no circuit out that alowes to connect the microswitch directly to the servo output ?

Cheers!

Yes, there are electronic switches. I'm using one in my ship to trigger my shutter.

I forget which brand I have as it's something that I've had for a while. You can even use some of the units which are designed to turn on remote glow batteries as those are simply an over powered (for this application) switch. Or you can get one that has a small relay or solid state switch.

There are many companys that make these. You may or may not care to have one which has some optical isolation between your RC receiver and the camera if you use your primary flight receiever to trigger the camera.
