| I experienced the same thing?A couple of weeks ago I had my raptor 30 out for the first hovers. I had a couple of tanks through it. and was able to hover pretty good with a little yo-yo going on. However the next day was a little windy (small gusts now and then) The wind caused the yo-yo to be extreme. I would have it off the ground about a foot or so, then the wind would come and lift it off 8 - 10 feet up. Then it would come back down again and bounce on the rotopod. Then, it came down so hard I had a nasty boom strike!. So, over the past couple of weeks while putting it back together, I practiced on the sim with the wind turned up, and I got the same thing. I think I made a mistake when I started with the sim by keeping the wind at zero. You must control the collective much more when the wind is blowing, even a little bit!. gusty conditions make it worse. A steady wind is easier then gusty wind.
So, I don't think its the heli setup, practice on the sim with some wind.
Although, if you are going to make quick corrections with the collective, it is helpful that your engine is tuned and has quick response to throttle change.
I'm a begginer, so this doesn't come from much experience!
But I felt the EXACT same way you did!
