| On a perfect sunny day, with a home made camera gear made of 1/2 inch Pvc tubing (cost $16), a 27Mhz Receiver and servo from my E-Maxx (R/C Truck) to trigger the camera. I asked the club owner to trigger the cam, he was thrilled to get pics of his club. Upon starting, this combo (heli/gear) it showed vibration issue, but once proper RPM was acheived it was all ok, I went flying around taking pics, some were very ugly (angles) since I have no way to position the camera, I had to dive to take ground pics (don't laugh) Looking at the pictures I went about 200 feet high. After 3 or 4 mins I decided to come back to land and suprised I was to see the whole heli was shaking badly, I shot the engine off and carying the heli back I notice noise coming from the canopy, a lose bolt was found, it was the remaining of the front 3x50mm bolt that holds the front skid, most of that bolt broke and was lost in flight, (see the remaining bolt compared to a new one). After discussion we concluded that the gear provided too much drag (as I was flying a bit too fast) and stressed that bolt, I wonder how the front skid did not come off! that would have been a real problem to land considering the shaking it was doing. Anyhow we took some pics, it was fun !
