It kinda looks like a Mille. Interesting.

Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else.

Whoa! Interesting - I hope the production canopy looks a little better though. Not much meat on that website yet. Lets see some pics of the actual heli!

I wonder what the price tag is going to look like??

Cool

See, these guys are closer then many first thought. They seem to be a couple of sharp torpedoes, just from the little I know and have read about Bennet and Krause. And now, they are probably devoting close to 100 percent of their efforts to developing the helicopter. I probably should rephrase that last statement.

They are most likely devoting close to 100 percent of their efforts to testing and improving their new design. Little Timmy must be passing whole helicopters out of his rear end right about now.

If the thing works and is going to be simpler and easier to rebuild then a Fury, I'll buy 5 of them right off the bat. I hope they keep the end design straight forward, and simple.

Crash costs, and time to repair these RC helicopters is everything. As I see it, if the thing flys resonably well, it is the main issue that matters to most pud knocker fliers, like myself.

"The N-9 model is going through extensive and rigorous part and assembly testing. Flight testing is set to begin shortly."

"The release date cannot be announced until testing is complete and the N-9 is perfect. "

that's close ?

and my bet with nigel is still good if he is good for it (that we will see a synergy for sale this year)

That concept drawing does resemble a Mille lid but did you guys notice the box on the side, COULD IT BE A GASSER????

Actually looking at the other gallery drawings I guess it's just a header tank..

Bump on the side...

The bump on the side is the Fuel Tank.

Guess we'll have to wait a little longer until the real pics show up without the canopy on.

Date

Jason was saying at MHA that if the testing all goes well they hope to have it out by the end of the year. If they run into ANY problems they will not release it untill it's corrected.

Some of the things they were talking about are the engine location. It sits alot higher up in the mechanics to reduce the pendulum effect while inverted. That is why the struts look so much longer.

synergy ---

all looks great---and all is so far speculation---even the cad drawing is really just to show something......id say based on the gossip/info---they areflying or near too flying-----but with each flight will come tweaks and/or design changes-----so i doubt it will be in production this year---tho hopefully this year there will be a few of them flying around for all to see!!!!
good luck and best wishes to Synergy!!!

wierd landing gear and the proto-canopy is butt ugly but that will probably change many times between now and release day.

MHA Class & Synergy

Todd and Jason took the time to talk a bit about their Synergy with us in the June MHA/Freestyle 3D class. First of all, Jason loves the landing struts! Says they are very strong. Not the first thing I care about, but he was proud of them!

They seen to know weak points of many many helicopters and are determined not to include those weak points on their helicopters. Case in point: Todd says the gear tooth profile on the Fury Extreme is cut wrong and that's why it's so noisy. Compare a Freya delrin gear to a Fury main gear. The Freya runs much more smoothly and is quieter. I have both and would have to agree. The drawings on the Synergy website seem to support that.

Todd told me he likes the quality the Freya/Eagle, but is not wild about the head design. Not a true 3D head. (This greatly paraphrased taken from recollection--flame suit on).

So I'm guessing much of the quality of the hirobo with Fury flying qualities.

They are aware that the canopy design will be heavily scrutinized, so offer your opinions now! I think it's too Raptor like myself. That said, I sure don't know how to design one!!

Regardless, these are smart and talented individuals with a lot of drive. I wish them the best in their efforts.

Time will tell.

Rob

I would have to agree, Todd and Jason were very interested in hearing what everyone had to say about it. And whenever someone had a question of why something was designed like that, they had a Very good reason. I'm sure they would love to hear your suggestions/comments so everyone should start shooting away at their emails.

Rob, You were in the second class with me correct?

I'd be willing to bet a substantial amount of money that it will fly alot better than a Raptor out of the box!!!!

Any takers?

I have a Raptor and I don't see any resemblance to a Raptor. If anything that canopy looks like a Mille only uglier. I have to be honest in hopes that Jason or Todd reads RR for feedback, that canopy is ugly. Maybe I should start a poll for them.
