Main Discussion > OS61wc w/muscle pipe 15% nitro compared to OS61w/muffler 30% nitro

I am breaking in a new OS61wc engine in a Fury. I currently have an older K&S competition pro muffler installed. I would like to run cool power 15% due to high nitro costs. How would this engine and fuel run when mated to a Curtis Muscle pipe? Will it provide as much power as a muffled engine on 30%? Any chance it may even develope a little more?

Also, has anyone been able to get an OS 61wc to run smoothly and consitantly with 15% cool power?

Thanks,
Tyler

Tyler....I run an OS 61 WC in my Intrepid with a Curtis MP and 15% Cool Power, runs very strong and smooth. Also easy to tune. I was running a long tuned pipe with the 15% CP, the MP runs smother, more power, and seems to use less fuel. Try this combination, you will like it.....Coop

no problem there .. can use a muscle pipe with 15% ... I use to fly os61 with K&B 15% and hatori horse shoe tune pipe on a xcel .. works fine .. with 30% you really don't need a muscle pipe ..

Im running Wildcat 15% helimix in an OS61 shx-wc with a Curtis MP and it runs smooth and has gobs of power.
With a CMP you don't need 30%! In a year you'll save the $$ you spent on the CMP!
