Hi all:
After being shocked by the price of an ION. I am now more interested in conveting my Raptor90 into an electric one. I saw many fellows converting Predator or Fury into electric. I have some questions for you, please help me.
a. why do you pick ACTRO32-X instead of 40-X, doesn't 40-X output more power than 32-X?
b. what motor/ESC/batt combination has the best result?
c. what gear ratio do you use? do you use the stock pinion and a self-made coupler?
d. where can I buy motor/ESC/batt with the least $$

helpfully I can get it done within 2 months and tell you what happens then

thanks for the helpful information. What motors besides ACTRO, HACKER could be available? I was considering ACTRO and HACKER but turned out like outrunners better. I can make the motor mount by my self.

IF YOU RUN A ACTRO32-3 the problem you are goin to have is trying to get that motor up to performace you will need atleast 11s3p and then you will need a esc to run it!! that is goin to cost you over 500 bucks for the new schulze.. iam runninga schulze 40.70 in my EPredator on 11s 3pand that Esc is no longer made!! it will handle the voltage
I would recomend running the new 2satge gear box wiht the hacker c5015xl that way you can run 10s3p and there is a few esc,s that will do that for around 300 bucks or less!!! Iam fixin to do E R60 and iam goin to try a AXI 14 in there on 10s3p wiht 680 blades!!! should be pretty impressive!!!!!!!! hope this helps

motor/esc

question for you e experts, where do you start in motor and esc selection for a heli conversion, what motor will do and far exceed the expectation, and the esc to handle it, and where do you guys buy lets say a 11s3p lipo battery or is that a combination of 2 or more packs. i want to learn more, and just reading as much possible, so i can pick out the right combination. thanks for any advice.
