I was wondering if anybody can help me with my Nexus 30? I'm very pleased with it so far, but I can't figure out why it is coated with fuel after each flight. Is this typical with all heli's? I have only run 4 tanks through it so i guess it's still in a break-in period. If someone can help I would appreciate it! (In case you are wondering it has an O.S. 32 sx-h.)

Certainly, in the "early" stages of learning when you are "ground pounding" the heli gets coated with oil mist and dirt, grass and anything else that fly's by. The tendency is for the exhaust to get "recalculated" by the main rotor and naturally oil gets on everything. You might try an exhaust deflector to get the exhaust further out in the rotor wash which will lessen the affect. Otherwise just grin and bear it

Yep, be sure to bring your favorite cleaner and some paper towels to your flying site. If you don't have an exhaust extension then get one, aim it away from the heli pointing down, that should help. If you are breaking in your engine it's probably set rich, after you break it in and lean it a bit you might not see so much oil all over. It's all part of the fun. -----BladeRunner.

No you don't have to deal with oil all over everything. Find a METAL funnel that just slips over the exhaust tip. Then LOOSELY fill the funnel with COURSE steel wool, as not to restrist exhaust flow. Then, cover the large end of funnel with LARGE mesh METAL screen. You can retain the screen with metal wire. You'll get the idea. The mounting is up to you. Make sure that you check often for oil build up.

Yes, it looks like hell, but saves a lot of time in clean up. It's only temp until the hovering stage is over. Its also cheap to bulid. If I were to engineer something pleasing to the eye, the cost would rise drasticlly.
Sorry I don't have any way to post pictures.
