When setting your radio up for auto's on the throttle hold switch, do u want to also use the same switch to disable the gyro to as well.

Yesterday i tried to auto from a hover to see what it was like. Went okay didn't realize that you could still gain a ton of height with the built up momentum in the blades......

I currently have my radio setup so that when i hit throttle hold the engine is cut to 15% and the gyro is turned off....Is how its done

I have the 401/9253 combo and a JR 652....

I would not do that... Why turn off the gyro??? Let it do its thing.

If you do want to keep your gyro off, you might want to add some tail rotor offset. This will help while the tail rotor spools down during the auto.
