I have a Thunder Power 4S4P 7600 10C pack for my Logo 10. I am running the following set up and the batteries never get above 110 degrees F. The motor will get to 175f F+ if I fly for more than 8 minutes. I am looking for a little more head speed to compensate for the batteries when they are about have way through the charge. Can I get away with going to a 14 tooth pinion to bring the head speed up another 100 rpm without overheating something? I did install a fan on the motor, it's much cooler now after the same flight interval, around 140F. Any help would be great.

Hi,

I was running the same set up as you at 80% gov mode the only difference is i'm using Flightpower 4s4p 8000mAh pack that give's me 1800+ headspeed, I've now dropped back to a 13 tooth and run a higher % everything is much cooler now, no fan either. After 8-9 mins the esc was only warm.

What headspeed do you want ?

Simon.

I have my throttle settings at 100% straight across. I was looking to get as close to 2000 rpm as I could. I ran the numbers through the spreadsheet and it looks like with this setup I am only getting about 1800 with the 13 tooth pinion. 14 tooth should produce about 100 rpm more, which would help the flying capabilities when the pack is about half drained.
