I have an eclipse 7 and a logo 10. I am a newbie except for my eco8 and hummingbird. I am having difficulties programming. It's way to sensative. I have ch 1,2,4 now programmed with -35% exp but was wondering if i should have pitch curve programmed differently. A hobby shop employee helped and put pitch at 0,inh,35,inb,100. Alls I can do is hover and do slow figure eights nose out. I also just put glass 500mm semisymetrical blades on. Any advise would be great. Thanks

not familiar with hitec, but what is on channel 4? rudder i assume.
i only run expo on aileron and elevator.

I would run a linear pitch curve --- 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 and dial out some in the normal curve to your liking-- 25, 25, 50, 75, 100.

the way you have it now is a big jump from 35 to 75 i think that is were your noticing it is very sensitive.

Thanks for the advise, I'll try that tomorrow morning provided the california winds subside. The heading lock gyro seems fine for tail control but hopefully this will help tame my logo! I had thought the glass blades i just put on may have been too much of a change from the stock woodies.

Hello,

In what axis is your helicopter sensitive?

How much RPM are you running? A very high RPM will be good for 3D, but it will be more sensitive in the hover for training.

The radio setup doesn't say much, make sure that the blade pitch is correct. Try running a linear curve from 3 degrees down at low stick to 10 degrees up at max stick. If your initial pitch is +/- 10 degrees from 0 to 100, you'll need a curve like 36-52-68-84-100.

What is your blade pitch at low and high stick?

Hope this helps

logo pitch answer

After reading your advise I guess its safe to assume my next immediate purchase should be a pitch gage.
The logo is very pitch sensative at about 2/3 stick...it seems to not move then all of the sudden makes a drastic jump upwards with only one ratchet movement which I struggle with trying not to over control. Servos appear fine HS85mg's.
Last dumb question is: The higher the exp value programmed the less sensative around neutral it should be?

Yes it is, provided your going the correct way, meaning (-) minus, and not (+) Positive.

Another thing to is with Heli transmitters, it is a lot better (smoother), easier to control, if you take the ratchet action out of the throttle and make it smooth. This is not the answer to all your problems, but it will help.

Cheers, Hayden.

Michael , with the Eclipse 7 , center stick sensitivity is decreased with higher number values toward the negitive side of the spectrum . I run with -10 to -20 on mine .

First and foremost, get a pitch gauge. I wouldn't even try to fly without knowing my pitch range. Mechanically I would setup my heli for 0 degrees at half and -/+ 10 at bottom and high stick. You can then program desired pitch at each point on your curve. This is assuming you want to hover at 3/4 stick.
