I got tired of waitin on the wind to stop. It's been blowin since the day I bought my heli now its all I know how to fly in.
I won't know what to do this summer when it gets dead calm.
With the wind and all the problems I have been workin on the heli and waitin on parts. It finnally runs good , the blades are trackin right, the New 401 Gyro and 9253 are FANTASTIC I just had to go out and fly.
Ok the wind is blowin 15 and gust into and over 30 mph.
Very Gusty. I know I should have stayed home .
Up untill today I was Only in the tail in hover mode with trainin gear on.
But thanks to G2 and being tired of waitin .
I took it out today , tuned the engine alittle , and off came the trainin gear.
WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO
I even ventured into forward flight.
Didn't do to bad
Ran about 4 or 5 tanks through it and the reciever battery was showin low so I stopped.

Questions.
Do digital servos use more power?
Is this long enough to run on reciever batteries? 2000 mah NiMH
How exactly do you read the volt watch.
It had Alot of light lit up, with that digital servo hummin.
at the end I had the second yellow light lit up and about the next 4 above it. Good Time to quit?
It feels great to be flyin around.

Yes, in general, digital servos do take more power than non-digital servos. I don't know exactly what your power consumption is, but I'd say 2000mah is probably good enough for the four or five flights you just did. However, for just $30, you can get a 4500mah nimh pack from superbatterypacks.com, and pretty much forget about your battery capacity for a whole day. As far as all the lights going on with the digital servos running, that's pretty normal. They suck a lot of current out of the battery and while that's happening, the voltage will drop, causing the battery checker to think your battery is getting near empty.

battery pak

How much are they and how about the extra weight factor for the 4500mah battery are they flat?

I said in my previous post that the 4500mah costs $30, with your choice of Futaba J, JR, or other connector installed. I certainly don't notice any weight difference on my Sceadu 30, between the 4500mah nimh and the 1400mah nicd JR pack. The 4500 mah way a couple of ounces more, but it hasn't effected my heli. It is a flat, 4-cell pack. The cells are larger, though, and the 4500mah pack will not fit inside the Sceadu battery enclosure. I have mine velcro'd and ziptied on each axis to the bottom of the nose of my Sceadu. This sort of helps make it less tail heavy, too.
