I'm having a hard time getting everything zero or 90 degrees so I thought I would start over at leveling the swashplate.
On page 32 which measurement is the correct one? They list one rod 15mm and two at 19.5mm. It's physically impossible to keep the 90 degrees on the bell cranks with those measurements. Either the 19.5mm rods need to be longer or the 15mm needs to be shorter and maybe that's where my problems are starting.
My reason for starting over is that I can't get the blade holders at 0 degrees when everything else is level or 90 degrees. They end up at 5 degrees at mid-stick and the manual states make them zero. You can't do it because the two short rods won't let you.
Any help would be appreciated.

15 mm SHOULD be 12.3 mm. The 19.5mm is correct. Ran into this last week.

Laddy's right - ran into this during assembly this weekend.

Shorten the 15mm rod - if the swash is leveled by lengthening the 19.5mm rods the phase pins in the head will hit the inner ring of the swash near full collective with cyclic input.

This kit was a pleasure to build and flies great - you're going to like it .

I agree with you both on the 15mm rod. Next up is an issue with getting the blade holders at zero degrees with the flybar etc. The two short rods from the bladeholders to the flybar absolutely prohibit the bladeholders from being at zero degrees when the bell mixers are also level.
Either the short rods need shortened some more or the bell mixers are not going to be level.
What did you guys do here?

Thanks

The blade grip have the tempest balls on them with one short side and one long side. Make sure that you have these connected the same on both sides (hiller rod goes to the short side if I remember correctly).

I spent alot of wasted time trying to get both side symetrical until I reaized I had one of these flipped around.

I had to shorten the short rod ends by about 2mm in order to make the blade holders zero and have the mixers level as everything else already is. These two short rods go to the double balls on both the blade holder and the mixer arms.
Why is it so important to have zero at mid-stick? It looks like the original 5 degrees would work it you were going to hover at mid-stick.
