I drove up to DC for thanksgiving and my wife suggested I bring the chopper so that I could give some "demos". I made up a suitable box to protect it from falling Christmas presents (which was the remainder of the cargo). The machine arrived none the worse for wear. and last Saturday morning I went to a local park to do a little flying, I set up to fly and had the usual small crowd to contend with. When I went to start it the engine popped...... the clutch had come un screwed from the crank. Dang...... Took it "home" pulled the engine re tightened the clutch and fan nut (locktight on the nut). Next day took it out to another site which was a little hilly (I'm from florida so any thing but flat is a little hilly) I went down into one of the valley "flat" areas started it up and flew out the tank no problem on decent I snibed the hill side and "ate" the tail rotor. I chopped the power and autoed down with no other damage.... Bummer I didn't bring my "heavy mtc" parts kit and I broke the TR axial. so back in the box till I get back to Florida.

Doug, sorry to hear that. Does sound like everything else is alright though and thats good. Maybe the clutch coming loose was an omen or the heli was home sick. To bad though, holiday weekend and no flying. Good luck, try to have a good holiday.

Back from DC at 10 PM on Sat night Up at 7 took 10 min to replace the brokenTail Rotor Axle I refitted one of my "minced" fin's and off to fly everything ok again. I need a good "generic" Carbon fins as the stock Concept fins bend into the TR
blades too easily
