I've been listening to some videos of the turbine helicopters and love the scale sound these produce. Especially the rotor chop sound. Just curious, are there any ways to achieve a more scale sound without going turbine? I'm wondering if some of the heli kits put out by Graupner or Vario sound different than the typical weed eater. For example, the larger engine and muffler combonations, or the larger rotor blades. Also, I would think the chop chop sound could be more easily achieved if the exhaust were directed towards the blades.

Just exploring possible alternatives, as I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face everytime I listen to the turbine video of the NH-90 on Graupner's web site.

I fly the Huey Gasser from Vario with the engine running at 1/3rd throttle in hover. The 810mm Scale Blades are turning 1050 RPMs. The sound is Great !!
