Hello my friends

before one or two ours as a happy pilot i try my GV-1 in my toy (millenium II 60) after 2 flights everythink looking good for me and my heli sudnelly in the third flight i realise that the tail is stop working and the heli start pirouete saw i come down and lucky for me no damage i get my thing and go to my home too see the servo after one hour the conclusion is that the motor of servo is burn with any other problems in the servo does anyone have the same problems with this servo

Thank you

P.S. my gyro is GY 502 and i work in high mode in gyro

The 5625 speed is not enough to support the update rate of the gyro you are using. The 5625 is good for cyclic controls (I use three of them in a raptor 46 with no problems) but is not fast enough for the gy502. Replace it with a futaba hi-speed coreless or digital (.10 or better at 4.8 volts) and you it should be OK.

I'm assuming when you say "high mode", you are refering to "digital servo" or "DS" mode. If so, the ONLY digital servo you can use with a Futaba gyro in "digital servo" mode, is the Futaba digital servos intended for those gyros.

However, you can use other digital servos in "standard servo" mode. Just don't expect the stellar performance of the Futaba digitals.

Hope this helps,
Mike

this is interesting cause if you jump over
to RCU and ask Mike Mayberry of Hitec, he'll
tell you that the 59xx series is OK to use w/
DS type gyro's. Similar to the 8417 'we
were only kidding about high frame rate guys'
JR servo.

I think you might be confused a little on "DS???" type gyros. There are gyros that advertise a high frame rate suitable for the higher frame rate digital servos available, and then there are Futaba gyros that, in "DS mode", have high frame rates specific to the servos they specify. Its a case of two different standards.

What this means is that while you can mix and match the other manufactures gyors and servos, the Futaba gyros, in "DS mode", can only use their specific digital servos.

I remember reading somewhere of a guy that did a frequency response test of several different gyros and found that even in "standard mode", the frame rates of the Futaba gyros was the same or higher than the "high" frame rates of the other manufactures. If this is true, then I feel that a brand X high frame rate servo, coupled with a Futaba gyro in "Standard" mode, will still be a damn good combo.
