I have a Voyager E with a Hacker C40 8L motor and a CC45 ESC with a 10 cell GP 3300 pack. I am running a 14 tooth pinion. My flight times with mild acrobatics is 10 minutes plus. Mild arcobatics is loops, rolls and flips.

C40-8L running a Li-PO 3s4p with a boom stretch and 470 blades...flight times are between 20 and 25 minutes depending on how I fly.

flight time

im running an astro 020 with 15 tooth pinon and a 3300nmh battery it only gets 6 minutes. cc 45 amp controler.what is your head speed on the hacker c408l with the 14 tooth. im getting a hacker. Ron

I sold my standard Voyager E after 20 flights a few years as the flight time was about 3 minutes.

I can't never flight my Voyager with stock motor. I thinking to sale this, or change for a glow helicopter.

Carlos, that is exactly what I did, I managed to exchange my Voyager E for a Ergo 46. If you want good performance and duration from electric power, it doesn't come cheap!

Same Boat

I was in the same boat (short flight, no power) with my VE. I bit the bullet and purchased a hacker C40-9l and Speed control. Since then, it has become one of my favorite heli's. It is still not super-powerful, but flies great, it is quiet, and no mess! But looking back, I could have purchased 2-3 .30 size gas kits for the same money after buying the upgrades.

I have a VE and haven't flown it for over a year because my 7 cell battery died and the brushed motors never lasted very long. I've thought about buying a brushless setup but too much money for it. I don't even know if it is worth the money for a new 7 cell battery. It flew ok with the stock motor and speed control though. Just didn't fly very long.

I have Voyager E BL (Brushless set JR), weight is around 1.5Kg (several tunings in alu), and using Lipo as follows :

Thunder Power 3S 3200, it gets around 10-12 min
Dualsky X-Power 3S 4000, it gets around 12-14 min

This is "normal flight", not idle up or 3D anyway.

Dualsky I just bought recently, it's much more powerful - but also quite heavier than Thunder Power. In addition it does't get much hot (actually slightly warm) as well.

Lipos are the Key to longer flight times with the Voyager E. Nimh just never worked well, becuase of the weight they add to this chopper.

I have a NiMh 8 Cell, and I used it 3 times, then I got a Lipo 3S 4400mah , and it really made the VE more fun.

I have a Voyager E with a Hacker C40 8L motor and a Hacker 40 opto ESC with a 10 cell GP 3300 pack and UBEC. I am running a 16 tooth pinion. My flight times are around 6 minutes.Completely stock and it flies great!

Mine Voyager is with Astor 020, 15T, CC45, stock blades and tail boom. With TP 3S4P 8000mah, I got 25-30 min before the head speed drops substantially. I measure the amp draw, it is around 20-30 amp during hovering and FF.....35-40amp at full throttle.
However, the motor just die on me today....

Anyone has Hacker motor and want to sell?
