I picked this up for my APPLE ipod TOUCH,but it turns out that the touch model is the only one that requires a special connector.(there is an extra pin in the touch connector) acording to the paperwork that came with it...this will work on other apple ipods...generation 3rd,4th,and 5th,as well as mini and photo. this allows hook-up to your T.V. if anyone could use this let me know,it is brand new.

What brand is this? Does it lock output volume to line level when connected to an ipod?

not sure of the brand. all connecters that i have ever used always allowed volume control from the regular remote for the stereo or t.v.,larry
