how far does the satelitte RX have to be from main RX

I have sent PAUL BEARD a pm with regards to this matter BUT still no reply ,,

reason why i ask is i am thinking of mounting one in my Lepton

but the only place I can find to put the satelite Rx is only and inch away ( prolly less ) ,, but then manuel states it should be a couple or more inches away

any help would be appreciated

satellite rx required for ar7000 to function?

hmm... that brings me to another question.

Is the satellite rx required for the AR7000 to work?

I do not own a DX7 or AR700 -yet :-)
thanks :-)

**********read or believe at own risk************
this is based on my experiences with OTHER 2.4 ghz devices
NOT the Spektrum brand or any other RC control products

my theory on RX to SRX distance:
I would think it highly unlikely that one RX would be able to induce a failure in the other. However the greater the distance is between the RX and SRX the broader the RF environment sample will be... and the more likely one antenna will see a good signal... I believe it's much more important to make sure that the antennas are at a 90 degree angle to each other ...the 2.4ghz band is very directional

so Paul

once i have mounted both RX

and when doing a range check if all is OK

it should be fine even with both RX's close to each other ???

I am a NOOB to all this 2.4 stuff

Yes, but it's optional on the AR6200.

thanks for the info :-)

thanks Paul :-)

from all my research I like the Spektrum 2.4ghz stuff the best :-)

I intend to sell some of my old gear in the hopes of reclaiming enough cash to purchasing a DX7.

My toy budget has evaporated in the last few years with marriage, changing jobs and upgrading to my now 19mo daughter who already seems to like RC :-)

thanks again :-)

Thanx Paul

picking another ar7000 today

using one in my Titan and trex450 so far so good

will hopefully convert my whole fleet to ar7000's by the end of next week ( just feels funny flying a heli without a super long antenna and all this rx antenna sticking out everywhere )

anyone want a 9C super only 2 months old if not ,, I guess it makes a nice paper weight

Instead of buying just the AR7000 receiver ... buy the Spektrum module for the 9C with the AR7000 and convert your 9C over to 2.4 The module is only $140 bucks then since you need another receiver anyway.

I own both a DX7 and Spektrumized 9C radio and it is awesome. The module works flawless in the 9C and the only difference I can tell so far is the converted 9C response time is a shade slower than the DX7, but not enough to worry about. But is still way faster than the 9C with PCM module and receiver.

Buy the Spektrum module, you won't be disappointed !!!

Fly it like you stole it, not like your gonna break it !!!
