Radio - JR & Spektrum DSM > DX7 Weight and balance issue

Hi Guys
I have been using a JR PCM 9X (9303) transmitter for around 3 years and I have got very used to it's feel and balance, it feels solid and quite weighty.
I recently swapped to a DX7 and found it to be very light and did not feel balanced when in use this was quite off putting when flying.
If you have an issue with the weight and balance of your DX 7 you can sort it out by fitting approx 100 grams of self adhesive car wheel weights to the upper part of the inside rear cover this makes a real difference to the balance and feel of the transmitter and brings the weight nearer to the 9X or 9303.
You can obtain the weights from a local car garage or tyre centre for about £1 for two strips I think they are made from nickel nowadays instead of lead so they are not as heavy as they used to be you may need less if you can get hold of the lead type.
Now when flying I can’t really tell the difference apart from the obvious switches in different locations (why cant they standardise the switch positions ???.)

I really hope those weights stay put! if one of them falls off inside your tranny it will sort out the circuit boards and you can work out what would happen next.
I would just sort out a tx balancer, and just get used to the light weight of the system.
I am all for a bit of diy, but I have had a bad day out when a mod similar to yours went wrong, luckily it just shorted the nicad and ruined a battery pack, and a days flying. But the up shot was nobody got hurt.

Best of luck
