In MyTopics the titles are not bold red. In MyPosts I felt extra highlighting was needed.

willy your personal attacks are not appreciated, in this thread or in PM's you have sent to me. "pru" has nothing to do with my name nor does it have anything to do with either type of human gender.

dont get mad cause you got called out by MR himself!

Mark, how about making it so when you finish reading a topic and go back to the main page you don't start at the top of the page again. It would be nice to be returned at the point where the topic was. I usually read most if not all topics and it's a pain to have to scroll down and try to see where I left off to find the next one.

Use Internet Explorer. The home page is set to always refresh. This causes other browsers like FireFox to restart at the top.

I use explorer but i have some problems with it as well. When i go to my home page to see my list of subscribed topics. see the latest post in a thread, and click on the link to bring me that post, it almost never actually does. it either sends me to the first post or several posts before the newest one. but rarely does it go to the lastest on that its linked to. sometimes its not even on the same page.

Maybe I didn't phrase it right. Let me try again. If I'm in say the t-rex page and go to the last topic on the page, read it and hit "back". I end up at the top of the page. I'm wondering if you could make it go back to the place on the page where I last was. The bottom. It's not a Firefox issue as it doesn't do this on other sites.

I think RR has no control over this browser issue.

The way your browser re-displays No-Cache pages is the problem.

Is PM or NEW SUBS lit up? If so, this flags the page (No-Cache) to be reloaded if backing into it. The reload is done so the lights are turned off if needed.

For my Internet Explorer, pages do not jump to the top when backing into them.

Red in capitals and flashing ??

Would that signify troll status? Or, you are just special.

Sounds like a good idea to introduce a troll status visible from the name. Maybe an "agressive" status (for people posting agressive posts) would also be a good idea.
Please NO red flashing for me as I would like to avoid them, not to get their attention. How about a low-contrast color like green on grey or yellow on white. Maybe in smaller-point letters. How about being able to set colors, letter types etc for these status indications yourself, via your preferences?

Steve Boone

I know exactly what you are saying. If I have scrolled down in a list of posts, click on a post to read it and then use the back button to return to the list I want the list to be scrolled to the same location as when I left it.

I used to use IE and this worked correctly on RunRyder. If you use IE and this is not true, then there must be some setting wrong on your bowser.

When I switched to Firefox, this worked wrong as you describe. I had to install a add-in to get Firefox to behave with RunRyder.

At this link: http://www.gozer.org/mozilla/extensions/ at the bottom is an add on named "Restore Scroll Position". This fixed the problem if you use the "Back" icon. It didn't fix the problem for me because I was using a Logitech mouse with a Back and Forward button on the mouse and for some strange reason it did not act the same. However, if I used the keyboard <alt>left arrow and <alt>right arrow the addon fixed the problem. So, I reconfigured the mouse to use those keyboard shortcuts and now lists work OK for me in Firefox.

I went back and edited the details a few minutes after I did the post. You must have read it during the few minutes it took me to do the edit.
