There were several people with a lot to say about the "Singer" ...some must be sold by now ...what's the real truth about how it flies and is it better than the Raptor 30 ?
Has any top heli pilot wrung this baby out and willing to do a report ?? Any NEW vids ?

Well last week i did get to hover a stinger 30, the rep that had the stinger did do some mild 3D with it and seemed to do very good for a 30 size heli ,for my amount of flying i thought it was as good as my raptor, the price is 300.00 in a arf forum no engine.it comes with a fiber glass canopy a SS muffler that sounds pretty quiet, has some extra metal on the head with the fly bar below the main blades, for the cost of the stinger i think its a nice little heli for any one,,

Hey I didn't ask for this fetish.!!!But I'am sure paying for it....

It looks like a real solid entry into the market.

I plan on getting one and sticking an OS .37 in it for kicks.

I may be mistaking but, I think that HC gave one a whirl a few weeks ago,and there was a video taken of it.
Contact "moorecj98" and he would be able to get the link for you

What I am looking to hear is how it is really proving in feild tests...I know ther has been a lot of talk...a lot of chest beating as to how great it should perform ..but yet to see it really be tested. HC is a very acomplished heli pilot by all that I have been told ...so why would he be handed a new heli with a tired engine for a test flight to report on...Perhaps he just came across a stinger and was offered to give it a whirl...I really don't think it had a fair shot with a used engine....what's wrong ?? can't Gohbee do like most others...find a good pilot like HC and pass him a brand new stinger and new new setup to give it a fair chance and the pilot could in turn give a fair opinion of the heli ...??
This thread is looking for someone that has bought a stinger and really wrung it out...and still looking to hear from that mysterious someone

Havn't bought one yet but I am seriously considering it. I have seen two of them at the field and both of them had some issues with the clutch bell tolorences being too tight. Knowing this, one would be wise to check the clutch bell clearance and do whatever is necessary to correct the problem before attempting to fly. I'm sure Gohbee will correct the problem soon but personally I don't think it's that big of a deal since it is fixable. The beginner will be disapointed though when they go to start their engine and the clutch is draging at idle. I am trying to decide on whether to wait for the 50 version to come out or purchase an OS .37 for it. Of those that I seen fly none have been put through their paces yet (waiting for the engine to breakin).

I bought one used and sold it. it looks like a nice heli but the blad grips look kinda on the cheap side and similar to the raptor V1. The one I had, the blade grips were a little wobbely and not very tight at all. nice metal parts on it. never got a chance to fly it though

I have asked the same question a couple of times but either it's such a great heli that everyone is keeping it a secret or it's not what Gohbee had hoped...either way I am interested in buying one once I hear some reports from somebody that's able to really ring it out...someone with video that shows more than just basics...if it can tolerate the heavy 3D stuff then I would never be putting such stress on a heli that it would fail during normal use (any more than other brands)

I actually own one and have around a gallon on it.
It is a great flying helicopter.
I like the head design.
It has a nice solid feel in a hover yet is very responsive for 3D flying.
I had a problem with some of the bearings getting loose in the aluminum collective pitch arm.
Gohbee quickly replaced the arms and it has not happened again.
I also had link pop off during a tic toc that caused some minor damage.
Again Gohbee was quick to respond and I have not had this happen again.
I am running the the OS37 with a Muscle Pipe. It is a nice combination.
Not quite a 50 but a very capable 30 size heli.
The aluminum head is nice benefit for the money.
I am building the 50 size Stinger right now.
So far it looks good.

The replacement parts prices seem pretty steep. The rotor head is over $200. Puts it up there in Fury country. I'm sure it flys as good as a Fury.

Al,

Consider using the Raptor head conversion kit as a "head crash kit" for a Stinger. The head kit sells for only $115, not a bad deal considering all you get.

www.gohbee.com

For a look at what the head kit includes you can download the instructions at:

Hope this helps!
